Engen is looking for a digital innovations manager to develop, implement and manage innovative strategies for products, services, and processes for the Retail Convenience business. The manager should have critical skills to drive in new customers and increase market share.

Criteria:

  • The candidate should be an experienced professional with an understanding of lightweight architectural technologies and exploring innovation across the value chain, have a strong desire to drive value through data analytics.
  • Have a passion for customer-centricity.
  • Must have the ability to lead high-performing tech teams to deliver business value through data analytics.
  • Must be attuned to significant global and local shifts in the technology sector to enable the Retail business and have a reputation of capitalizing on these ahead of competitors.
  • Have a passion for technology in the context of informing changing customer demographics.
  • Be able to define strategy and drive digital innovation.
  • Have excellent analytics and data interpretation skills.
  • Understand the use of technology to drive customer growth and support.
  • Have a reputation for navigating unchartered waters and reveling in ambiguity.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of working experience in the utilization and understanding of lightweight technologies.
  • NQF Level 7 (Degree in IT/ Computer Science)
    Minimum of 5 years experience optimizing processes for automation.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience demonstrated experience in the development and integration of automated solutions.
  • Minimum of 2 years delivering solutions using Agile procedure.
  • Minimum of 2 years developing full business cases.
  • Minimum of 2 years delivering customer-centric tech approaches.
  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in IT or related fields.
  • At least 2 years experience in managing a team.

Additional Responsibilities: 

  •  Create tech interfaces based on the customer value proposition that allows the company to grow its business.
  • Implement a consistent and holistic approach in leveraging customer loyalty and interaction.
  • Charting a digital journey to maturity.
  • Understand the customer journeys and digital hotspots for product development and collection of data for insights.
  • Develop data-driven digital solutions.
  • Develop comprehensive digital roadmaps for the Retail division.
  • Research digital trends and collaborate cross-functionally true solutions.
  • Implementation of the digital solutions from pilot to full scale.
  • Understand Engen’s New Ways of Working as well as IT and Retail Technology Platforms.
  • Optimize the digital journey for impact and reach.
  • Seek methods and feedback from the customer to improve solutions.
  • Articulate case for change by documenting the business case.
  • Entrench insight analytics, customer engagements, business partnerships, negotiation, ongoing supplier management, and, governance.
  • Optimize efforts in the digital space.
  • Manage relations with internal customers, contractors/service providers, and e, external stakeholders such as agencies and dealer councils.
  • Ensure related SLAs are in place and contracts are adhered to Communicate, develop & drive compliance to HSEQ policies/procedures.
  • Engage in talent, staff performance and r, resource management
