Santam Operations department has a position available for a Training Consultant who will be based in the Shared Services department within the Johannesburg Commercial Contact Centre. This role is focused on servicing the Commercial lines contact center training needs.

Requirements:

  • Matric
  • Appropriate Industry-specific qualification or accreditation (e.g. IISA qualification).
  • Education Training and Development Practitioner (ETDP) Qualification and or Accreditation (Train the Trainor Assessor, Moderator, Verifier)
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the banking or financial services industry
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Learning and Development development, planning, facilitation, and evaluation
  • Degree, Diploma, or Qualified Artisan with 2 to 3 years in technical training or qualified by extensive experience.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will coordinate and conduct product, system, process, and related training sessions that will lead to the improvement of knowledge and skills of staff and their ability to improve their current job activities, as well as to coordinate and conduct assessment and measurement practices aimed at improving worker and workplace performance.

Critical Skills:

  • Sound knowledge of Financial Services Industry practices and regulatory requirements
  •  Knowledge of the Short Term Insurance products and services and policies.
  • A thorough understanding of the Learning and Development Legislative environment (SAQA/NQF, FSC, COGP)
  • An understanding of the Training Value Chain Cycle (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation)
  • Client engagement and Facilitation skills
  • Understanding of Santam`s systems (CRM, Avaya, Policy Centre, Main Frame, etc.)
  • Good understanding of contact center processes and SLAs
  •  Organizational awareness

Additional Skills:

  • Interpersonal sensitivity
  • Advanced Computer Literacy
  • Report writing experience
  • Fully computer literate (MS Office package)
  • Good communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Proficient in English and Afrikaans (Advantageous)
