Woolworths is looking for a customer assistant who will be based in one of their retail store in Johannesburg CBD. The successful candidate will be working an 8 hours shift per day for four shifts per week. Required to start as soon as possible.
The customer assistant will be required to deliver exceptional customer service, by performing End of Day duties and ensuring accurate replenishment of stock and removal of expired merchandise, as well as ensuring Stock on Hand levels through counting procedures.
Requirements
- Experience: Shop Assistant
- English, Afrikaans
- Matric will be an added advantage
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Greet, smile and acknowledge customers
- Displays a helpful attitude when serving internal and external customers
- Ensure the delivery of a consistent customer shopping experience in line with agreed service levels
- Knows what new lines and promotions have come into the store
- Maintain in-store action plan, waste and temporary out of stock tickets
- Conduct accurate temperature probes
- Meets customers’ needs and expectations by asking, listening to, and advising customers as to options/services/products available
- Clears back areas or receiving yard to prepare for the delivery of a truck
- Maintains shop-keeping and Foods Supply Chain disciplines
- Ensures dual key control and ensures that all key processes are in place
- Reporting acts of dishonesty related to shrinkage and fraud to your line manager or shrinkage hotline
- Understand and apply red flag processes for End of Day
Additional Responsibilities:
- Ensures that backup stock is packed out
- Takes off waste from the floor and back up areas
- Verifies temporary out of stock and places correct tickets
- Ensures that stockroom stock is represented on the sales floor
- Packs stock according to company policy, ensuring proper stock rotation is adhered to and expired merchandise and poor quality items are removed
- Effective management of stock loss
- Ensure a buddy system is in place in your area
- Report suspicious activity in your area
- Report suspicious individuals in your area to security or management
- Demonstrates self-discipline with regards to attendance, dress code, hygiene, and time-keeping
- Attends/is informed of the game plan/team meeting to know the day’s focus.
