The Small Enterprise Development Agency is looking for a Senior Manager for Quality, Standards, and Technology Transfer. The successful applicant will be providing strategic direction and managing the technology transfer, quality and standards, product design, and packaging support functions for small enterprises in line with Seda’s strategy and policies.
Location: National Office
Duration: This is a fixed-term contract for two years

Requirements:
- Matric (NQF Level 4)
- Bachelors’ Degree Honours Degree (NQF Level 8) or Post Graduate Diploma(NQF Level 8) in Commerce/Science/Technology or Engineering disciplines.
- A Master’s Degree (NQF Level 9) will be an added advantage.
- 8 to 10 years of work experience in Industrial Technology, Technology Transfer, and Quality and Standards of which at least 5 years must have been in a managerial role.
Experience:
- Broad technical knowledge in a variety of industrial sectors and a sound grasp of the impact of technology on business growth.
- Deep understanding of the Technology ecosystem.
- Sound knowledge and experience in the Small Business Development Sector.
- Sound knowledge of the legislation and policies that direct the Small Business Development sector.
- Knowledge of the PFMA and Procurement related prescripts.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Develop policies, procedures, and methodologies to govern the technology transfer and quality and standards interventions.
- Direct and oversee the administration of the Technology Transfer Fund.
- Direct and oversee the facilitation of programmes that enhance the competitiveness of small enterprises through sourcing
of market-ready technologies and funding. - Drive the creation of technology transfer platforms in support of small enterprises.
- Direct and oversee the provision of technical support to small enterprises to comply with technical regulations through partnerships with the national institutions i.e. SABS and
SANAS. - Manage Business Unit resources (People, Finance, and Assets.
- Direct and oversee the facilitation of programmes that enhance the quality of products and services produced by South African entrepreneurs for national and export markets through the provision of technical support.
