Thulamela municipality Head Office, which is the economic hub of the Vhembe region and an equal opportunity employer seeks to employ general assistants who will be responsible for removing garbage bags from different households, keeping streets clean and emptying public dustbins.

Location: Limpopo

Salary: R149 438, 28 per annum (12 453,19 per month)

Requirements: 

• Grade 12 certificate and testimonial confirming experience
• 1-2 years experience in a related field
• Experience in cleaning and refuse removal
• Be able to work under pressure

Duties And Responsibilities:

• Refuse removal from households
• Sweeping of streets, sidewalks taxi, and bus ranks
• Picking of litter along the street and main roads, including public open spaces
• Removal of  building rubbles from public spaces
• Empty streets and public dustbins
• Cleaning of rubbish in front of buildings, streets, taxi and bus ranks, and open space
• Cleaning and maintenance of landfill sites
• Cleaning of municipal buildings and recreation facilities
• Perform any other duties as may be delegated by the supervisor.
