IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, intends to develop its ‘palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold’ project and will be using the latest technology to develop the mine into a ‘mine of the future.

As the project is in its developing stages, IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd seeks to employ suitably qualified general workers who will be assisting with a variety of site labour tasks.

Requirements:

• Matric (Grade 12) certificate
• Be willing to work continuous operation shifts and overtime as and when required by management
• Must have good solving skills
• Must be medically fit and able to work at extreme heights
• 1 year of experience in the construction industry with contactable references will be an added advantage
• Be a mature, self-motivated and disciplined individual that promotes high safety standards
• Be dedicated to meeting deadlines
• Be stress tolerant
• Be a South African citizen or permanent South African resident.
• Be fully vaccinated against Covid-19

Duties And Responsibilities:

• Operate on the site by safe working procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site by handling materials and storing them properly
• Assist in site labour tasks.
• Ensure that work equipment and tools are clean and stored properly as per the standard of Ivanhoe Mines.
• Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
• Provide sufficient support to the Shutterhand, reinforcing hands, as required and when needed.
• Pick up and remove all tools and equipment when they are not in use.
• Secure the job site daily
