Ekurhuleni Water Care Company (ERWAT) invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for various positions within its company. As an expert in water and wastewater management that provides its services to various industries across the country, the company seeks to employ a handyman, a fitter, and assistant artisans to join its innovative team.

1. Assistant Artisans -B3 (×9)
Salary: R17 564, 09 per month (basic)

Requirements:
- Grade 12 or N2 Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Work experience in the field will be an added advantage
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Perform welding, fabrication, maintenance, and repair work on installations and equipment.
- Meet with immediate supervisors daily to discuss the previous day’s work and determine tasks for the day.
- Performing your duties, you must ensure adherence to Safety Standards and sound engineering work practices.
2. Handyman -B2
Salary: R15 422, 59 per month (Basic)
Reference Number: CPNT
Requirements:
- Grade 10, N2 or NQF 2
- Code EB Driver’s License
- Basic knowledge in building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, landscape, and related maintenance activities.
- 5 years of work experience in repairs and maintenance environment
- electrical trade test certificate will be an added advantage.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Report unsafe installations.
- Execute repairs and maintenance activities on building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, landscape and related equipment parts and components on all ERWAT sites.
- Assist in the development of maintenance SOPs and the continuous revision thereof where necessary Carry out routine maintenance on all Buildings and their auxiliaries according to the technical requirements and ERWAT standards and recording on the CMMS.
- Ensure adherence to Safety Standards and technical standards at all times.
- Assist the immediate supervisor with general administrative tasks as may be required time-to-time.
3. Fitter-C2
Salary: R29 546, 04 per month (basic)

Requirements:
- Trade Test (Fitter).
- Code EB Driver’s License
- Computer Literacy in Microsoft Office
- At least 5 years of work experience as a Fitter, preferably in the wastewater and water treatment industry.
- Possess leadership skills, and be able to work independently and in a team.
- Knowledge and understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Develop SOPs and constantly revise where necessary.
- Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on ERWAT wastewater and Water Treatment equipment.
- Attend to mechanical maintenance of equipment.
- Meet with Supervisor daily to discuss the previous day’s maintenance and determine the maintenance schedule (ad hoc and routine) for the day.
- Carry out routine maintenance on all mechanical equipment according to standards and recording on the CMMS.
- Find solutions to plant problems by liaising with the Supervisors, Plant managers and taking remedial actions.
- Ensure adherence to Safety Standards and technical standards. Assist the immediate supervisor with general administrative tasks as may be required from time to time.
