Game Reserve General Workers And Operators

The Dinokeng Game Reserve Management Association invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for general workers and operator positions as part of its Natural Resources Project 2022/2023 with the Dinokeng Game Reserve.

This project will consist of vegetation, veld, and fuel management for nines months, from August 2022 until April 2023. 22 contractors will be appointed to execute Natural Resources Management duties.

Titles: Operators (7) and General Workers (15)

Interested Applicants are invited to attend the physical assessment and practical assessment:

Location: Ndlovu Gate, Dinokeng Game Reserve, Hamaanskraal

Date and Time: Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at 08:00

Salary: Will be in line with the EPWP project

Requirements:

Must be between the ages of 18-35
The candidate must have passed Grade 10 or have an NQF certificate. A Grade 12 certificate will be an added advantage.
Clear criminal record
Excellent Communication skills in English (written and verbal)
Must be disciplined, responsible, a team player, honest, reliable, a fast learner, and self-motivated
Must be willing and able to work under difficult physical conditions
A certificate to operate machinery (brush cutter or chain saw) will be advantageous
Experience working with technical equipment and/or herbicide application will be an added advantage.

Health Requirements:

Be physically and medically fit.
Females are required to be able:

(i) to run 2.4 km within 14 minutes,

(ii) to do 40 push-ups in a minute,

(iii) to do 40 sit-ups and 7 pull-ups in a minute.

Males are required to be able:

(i) to run 2.4 km within 12 minutes,

(ii) to do 40 push-ups in a minute,

(iii) to do 40 sit-ups and 7 pull-ups in a minute.

How To Apply:

As part of the application process, applicants are required to attend a physical fitness and practical assessment at the location mentioned above. Applicants are required to bring their proof of residence and their Identity Document on the day of the assessment.

The assessment will be conducted by the Dinokeng Game Reserve Management Association.

Please Note: Background checks will also be conducted and only applicants with a clear criminal record will be appointed.
