Toys R Us Shop Assistants Minimum Requirements:
- Matric Certificate
- At least six months retail working experience
- Must have own or reliable transport to be able to work shifts
- Must be sales driven with fantastic customer service skills
- Tenacious, highly motivated and target driven
- Excellent selling and communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- Basic merchandising skills
Toys R Us Shop Assistants Duties And Responsibilities:
- Attend to unique and individual shopping needs of each customer and always put the Customer first by proving excellent customer service.
- Ensure that customers receive prompt and relevant service on the sales floor and by telephone.
- Adhere to all basic customer service standards
- Determine customers’ requirements and advising on product range, price and warranties
- Demonstrate, explaine and advise on products to customers.
- Undertake any other relevant duties requested by Senior Management.
- Undertake all mandatory and service training as required.
- Maintaine the strict confidentiality of all information.
- Undertake an appraisal and personal development review regularly.
Additional Duties And Responsibilities:
- Ensure that goods are correctly priced and displayed, that promotions are executed timeously and execution is planned in advance.
- Adhere to all merchandising/layouts and housekeeping standards and schedules
- Prepare, implement and ensure maintenance of all advertised sales promotions timeously.
- Report on fast and slow sellers to the Store Manager.
- Participate in stock takes and stock counts
- Minimize stock loss and expenses in area of responsibility.
- Maximize sales in all areas
- Protect Company’s assets in area of responsibility.
- Take responsibility and accountability for being up to date with current SOP’s.
- Co-operating fully in the introduction of any new technology and new methods.
