Mining Learnership: Sibanye Stillwater invites interested applicants to apply for a Learner Miner Programme at KND and RPM Academy.

The minimum requirement is Grade 10-12 and no experience is required to qualify. At the end of the learnership programme, successful candidates will receive a Blasting Certificate and will be based at scheduled mines.

Mining Learnership Minimum Requirements:

To be accepted in the 18.2 Learner Miner Kroondal programme, applicants must be in possession of a Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Educational Certificate, with Mathematics and English Communication.
To be accepted in the 18.2 Learner Miner RPM programme, applicants must have a minimum Grade 10/AET-3 or equivalent NQF Educational Certificate, with Mathematics and English Communication.
To qualify and in order to be accepted onto the Blasting Certificate Programme, applicants must be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre
Although no experience is required to be in the programme, previous mining experience will be an added advantage.
Applicants who reside within the local community will receive preference. Proof of residence must be attached to the application form.

About the Blasting Cerificate Programme:

Learners acquiring the Blastin Certificate qualification will be equipped with the required competencies to conduct safe and efficient blasting and other associated mining activities in an underground environment at scheduled mines.
