Cashbuild General Assistants Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 or minimum of 1 (one) year work experience in the retail industry.
Ability to communicate in English and the dominant language spoken in the geographical area where the position is available.
Perform basic calculations accurately.
Be willing to work under pressure on shifts, weekends, and Public Holidays.
Must be physically fit to be able to lift heavy merchandise.

Cashbuild General Assistants Duties And Responsibilities:

Acknowledge all Customers and determine their needs and be able to advise and assist them correctly on any product.
Handle all customer complaints timeously by ensuring efficient customer service.
Load customer purchases without delay and without any damages to goods onto customer vehicle.

Additional Responsibilities:

Provide or advise customers about additional services provided by the store like delivery service or bulk deposits, glass cutting, special orders and customer programmes like credit programmes and VIC.
Merchandise stock in area or aisle of responsibility to ensure that customers can move safely, enter or exit the aisle without any injury or irritation caused by merchandise.
Complete checklist when on duty and ensure that all shelves within the designated area or aisle are labelled correctly.
Ensure that the designated area is ready for business.
Be on high alert for suspicious behaviour to prevent stock loss, and always ensure that customers provide the proof of purchase before any goods are loaded onto the customer vehicle.
