Crime Prevention Wardens (6000 Positions) : The Gauteng Provincial Government invites individuals who are actively involved in their communities to apply for Crime Prevention Warden positions.

Successful candidates will be under the Traffic management and will be assisting in keeping communities safe. They will be receiving a monthly stipend during their training for a duration of three months.

Crime Prevention Wardens (6000 Positions) Minimum Requirements:

To be considered, interested applicants must be in possession of a Grade 12/Matric certificate, and must be physically fit and agile.
Applicants must have a clear criminal record and have no pending cases.
Previous safety and security training will be advantageous.
Previous or current participation in the department’s volunteer programmes in safety and security training is advantageous.
Must be willing to work daily and for extended hours.
Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).

Crime Prevention Wardens (6000 Positions) Duties And Responsibilities:

Prevent crime in communities by attending to complaints.
Successful candidates will be expected to maintain law and order in communities.
Stop, search and maintain traffic control.

Please Note:

Successful candidates may be required to undergo both theoretical and practical (physical training). All Crime Prevention Wardens will be working under supervision.

Required Documents:

Curriculum Vitae, indicating the level of activism in your community (previous and current)
Completed New Z83 form, indicating the ward number of township, infornal settlement or hostel near the reference number.
Proof of Residence
Certified copies of Matric certificate and Identity Document
