Standard Bank 2023 Learnership Opportunities: Standard Bank invites young South Africans who are not older than 30 years of age to apply for various learnership opportunities in the bank.
The purpose of these learnership programmes is to mentor interested applicants through theoretical and practical coaching so they can get work experience. Once the learnership is completed, successful candidates will receive a SAQA accredited qualification.
Duration: 12 to 18 months, depending on the programme
Benefits: Monthly stipend and perfomance rewards plus multiple benefits
Closing Dates: 14 January 2023, February 28th, 2023 and May 31st, 2023
Location: Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town (depends on the learnership programme)
Learnership Programmes & Stipends
- Vehicle & Asset Finance
R6500 per month
- Data Engineering
R10 000 per month plus student medical aid
- CIB Operations
A monthly stipend of R10 000
- CF Compliance
Appointed candidates will receive a monthly stipend of R10 000 and a student medical aid
- Data Analytics
R10 000 monthly stipend plus student medical aid
- Software Engineering
Learners will receive a monthly stipend of R10 000 and a student medical aid
Standard Bank 2023 Learnership Opportunities Minimum Requirements:
- Applicants must be unemployed South African citizens between the ages of 18 and 30
- Be in possession of a Grade 12/Matric certificate
- Must be computer literate
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- Unemployed, not be studying at another tertiary institution and not be registered in another learnership.
Additional Requirements:
- Group Vehicle And Asset Finance
Applicants must have passed Grade 12 with minimum of 60 percent in Mathematics or Maths Literacy, and be in possession of completed 3-year business or finance related qualification. This programme starts on the 1st of April 2023, abd its duration is 12 months.
- Data Engineering, Data Analytics And Software Engineering Learnership Programmes
To be considered for either one of these programmes, you must have a tertiary qualification (diploma or degree) in Technology. This programme will begin on the 1st of April 2023 and will be running for 18 months.
When the programme ends on the 31st of August 2023, successful candidates in Data Engineering will receive a National Certificate in System Development with Data Engineering skills, whilst successful learners in Data Analytics receive a National Certificate in System Development with Data Analytics skills.
Learners who successfully complete the Software Engineering learnership programme will obtain a National Certificate in System Development.
Please Note: Java experience will be an added advantage for Software Engineering learnership candidates.
- CF Compliance Learnership Programme
Applicants must have a tertiary qualification (B. Com, LLB, B. Proc, LLM). The closing date for this programme is January 14th, 2023.
Candidates who successfully complete this one-year learnership programme will obtain a NC: Occupational Certificate: Compliance Officer (NQF 6)
- CIB Operations Learnership
A Tertiary Qualification relating to Finance, Accounting, Operations and/or a Bachelor of Commerce; Bachelor Business Science; Finance and Investment Banking; Economics; Engineering; STEM; BSc Mathematics.
