Youth Health Maintenance Programme – 2023: The Gauteng Department of Infrastructure Development and the Gauteng Health Department invite unemployed youth to apply for the EPWP Health Maintenance Programme.

Successful candidates will be placed in health facilities across two District Municipalities and three Metropolitans across the Province for a period of two months, and they will receive a monthly stipend.
Applicants who are unemployed graduates, tertiary dropouts and those that are in possession of a Grade 12/Matric certificated are invited to apply for the opportunity.
Programme Purpose:
The aim of the Youth Maintenance Programme is to provide sustainable labour-intensive work opportunities for unskilled and unemployed youth.
Participants will work 3 days a week, which is approximately 14 days a month.
At the end of the programme, participants will be more employable, have acquired the necessary skills for future employment opportunities.

Youth Health Maintenance Programme – 2023 Minimum Requirements:
- South African citizens who have Matric/Grade 12 or must be an unemployed graduate or tertiary dropouts.
- Be between the ages of 18-35
- Applicants must reside in areas that have high unemployment rates. Proof of Residence must be provided.
Duties And Responsibilities:
Candidates will be responsible for performing basic maintenance and repairs like painting, replacing broken windows, repairing door locks and closing roof leakages.
Additional Duties:
- Performing cleaning duties in hospital wards and administration building.
- Yard maintenance like gardening and grass-cutting in health institutions.
Required Documents:
- A certified copy of Identity Document that is not older than 3 months
- Proof of residence
- ID size photo
- Proof of banking details (bank statement, letter from the bank)
