Planet Youth Programme – 2023 : YearBeyond invites young people who want to mentor learners in schools and offer them life skills and psycho-social support to apply for the 2023 Planet Youth Programme.
The purpose of the Planet Youth Programme is to help young people prevent the use of substance abuse. Successful candidates will be responsible for strengthening protective factors, reducing risk factors in regards to the prevention of adolescent substance abuse.
By mentoring both Primary and Secondary School learners, successful candidates will be assisting the government in building healthy and resilient community environments for children. All successful applicants will receive training.

Planet Youth Programme – 2023 Minimum Requirements:
- Applicants must have passed Grade 12/Matric.
- Must be young people between the ages of 18-25.
- Reside nearby partner schools.
- Passionate about making a difference.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Enjoy working with pupils.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Offer Primary and High School learners life skills and psycho-social support through one-on-one and group-based activities.
- Facilitate new and existing activities in schools for after-school programmes.
- Strengthen protective factors, reduce risk factors in regards to the prevention of adolescent substance abuse.
