Tourism Department Skills Development Programmes 2023: The Department Of Tourism (and the Business Institute of Southern Africa) has various skills programmes that are targetted at unemployed youth who want to contribute to the success of the tourism sector.
Apart from addressing the shortage of skills and widen employment oppirtunities in the hospitality and tourism sector, the purpose of the programmes is to uplift young people and equip them with sufficient skills which they require to contribute to the economy of South Africa.
Programme Titles:
1. Food Safety Assurers Skills Programmes
Duration: 3 Months
Stipend: R150 per day
Location: Gauteng; North West; Western Cape; Mpumalanga; Limpopo
Closing Dates:
Gauteng; North West & Western Cape: February 17th, 2023
Limpopo & Mpumalanga: February 20th, 2023
2. Wine Service Training Programme
Duration: 3 Months
Stipend: R150 per day
Location: KwaZulu-Natal; Western Cape; Mpumalanga; North West & Limpopo
Closing Date: February 20th, 2023
Tourism Department Skills Development Programmes 2023 Minimum Requirements:
- Unemployed youth and graduates between the ages of 18 – 35.
- Grade 12 certificate and fluent in English, or a Hospitality Qualification.
Please Note: Individuals living with disabilities are encouraged to apply. The successful candidates will be required to sign a 3-month contract.
