National Cellphone Repair Training Programme

National Cellphone Repair Training Programme: To build citizen owned cellphone repairers, the government invites young South African individuals who are unemployed to take part in a 4-month short skills programme.

The aim of this initiative is to assist young people start their own businesses in cellphone repairing, and to implement the Township Economic Development Act.

Applicants will be placed at the South African Mobile Devices Distributors And Repairers Association (SAMDDRA) centres. At the end of the programme, successful learners will receive a national certificate accredited with MICT SETA.

As an Employment Equity employer, the Gauteng Provincial government will give preference to women, the youth, and people living with disabilities.

Programme Title: SAMDDRA Cellphone Repair Programme

Location: Gauteng Province (Alexandra, Kagiso, Sebokeng & Westbury)

Duration: 4 Months

Closing Date: February 21st, 2023

National Cellphone Repair Training Programme Minimum Requirements:

For verification purposes, proof of address should be attached to the application, i.e copy of utility bill, account or bank statement).
Certified copy of South African Identity Document.
Copy of highest qualification obtained.
A detailed Curriculum Vitae

During the application process, only applicants from the four selected areas (Alexandra, Westbury, Kagiso and Sebokeng) will be considered. Non- qualifying applicants and late applications will NOT be considered.
