Sasol Farmers Development Programme: Sasol, in partnership with Buhle Academy, Dardlea, and AFASA invites unemployed youth between the ages of 18-35 to apply for the 2023 Farmers Development Programme.

The successful candidates will receive their training at Buhle Farmer’s Academy at the Delmas Campus. Accomodation will be provided for all the appointed candidates.

About Buhle Farmer’s Academy:

Buhle Farmer’s Academy offers courses in vegetable, grain crop, poultry and livestock production. These courses are theoretically and practically based.

At the end of the programme, learners will receive follow-up and support services in their farming careers to grow a sustainable business.

Programme Duration: 5 Months (April 2023 to September 2023)

Location: Gert Sibande Municipality

Closing Date: March 31st, 2023

Sasol Farmers Development Programme Minimum Requirements:

Interested applicants must be South African citizens who have passed Grade 7.
Must be young imdividuals between the ages of 18-35 years of age.
Reside in the Gert Sibande Municipality.
Willing to perform manual farm duties and attend Buhle Farmers Academy in Delmas from April 2023 to September, 2023.
Ability to read, write and do basic calculations.

Programe Courses:

Livestock Production NQF level 3, 43 Credits
Poulty Production NQF level 3, 39 Credits
Farm Business Management NQF level 3, 6 Credits.
