Solar Panel Installers Learnership For 6000 Unemployed Youth – South Africa is facing a huge energy crisis which has forced power utilities to implement loadshedding.
As a result, many businesses and households continue to endure hours of being without electricity.
To help beat the energy crisis and fight loadshedding, the Gauteng Provincial Government has partnered with the Manufacturing, Engineering And Related Services Sector Education And Training Authority to empower the youth by giving them skill programmes in the energy sector.
About The Solar Panel Installers Learnership Programme:
To assist them in developing technical skills, the successful candidates will be provided with both theoretical and practical learning components.
Theoretical learning will run for 8 to 12 weeks, whilst on-the-job training will be for roughly 8 months to assist the learners in gaining work experience.
At the end of the learnership, candidates will receive an energy efficiency audit technician qualification.

Number of Positions: 6 000
Stipend: R4 000 per month

Solar Panel Installers Learnership For 6000 Unemployed Youth Minimum Requirements:
- Interested applicants must be under the age of 35.
- Have matriculated after 2016.
- In possession of a Grade 12 certificate.
- Interested in a career in energy industry, electrical work, or green economy sector.
- A N3 electrical engineering qualification from a TVET college advantageous.
Please Note: The application process will begin on Monday, May 8th, 2023 until the 8th of June, 2023. Learners will not be trained all at once but at different cohorts.
