BMA: Maritime Border Guards – The Border Management Authority invites interested applicants who have passed Grade 12 to apply for Maritime Border Guards positions.

The successful candidates will be based at various coastal ports of entry, and they will be responsible for various duties, including ensuring compliance at the seaport.

Job Title: Maritime Border Guards

Salary: R20 123, 75 per month plus benefits

BMA: Maritime Border Guards – Minimum Requirements:

  • Interested applicants must be in possession of a Grade 12 certificate.
  • South African citizen
  • Between the ages of 20 – 35
  • Ability to swim
  • Physically fit
  • Boat crew training advantageous

Gautrain Vacancies – Station Cleaners

  • Previous experience in Maritime law enforcement and weapons handling training.
  • Applicants must have completed training in public sector law enforcement like defense, fisheries, police, or immigration and maritime safety and security.
  • A Skipper license will be an added advantage.

  • Operational and tactical knowledge and understanding in maritime and sea operations, for example navigation, search and rescue.

Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily patrols at the harbour and the outer anchorage range, implementing operations to ensure compliance.
  • Conduct joined planned operations with other government agencies.
  • Conduct vessel patrols in the sea port of entry and coastline, recording the number of vessel patrols.
  • Identify maritime border risk and develop risk mitigation measures.

  • Complile operational plans, incident reports, inspection reports on vessels, vessels safety and personal protective equipment reports rummage reports on sea port and outer anchorage, pre-launch inspection reports, and daily shift reports.
