Government & Uber Eats: 10 000 Last Mile Opportunities Programme: The Gauteng Department Of Economic Development in partnership with Uber Eats will be launching their 10 000 Last Mile Opportunities programme, and will be recruiting Fleet Managers and Motorbike Drivers.

Within this programme, the Gauteng government intends to create direct jobs for the youth in the province through merchant and driver opportunities while growing the digital economy and logistics fields.
Home Affairs Department: Learnership Programme In All Provinces
Uber Eats will not only recruit 2 000 motobike drivers and fleet managers, but will also be identifying and onboarding 2 000 township merchants and 2 000 licensed liquor traders while providing them with access of trade.

The programme will only be launched by the Gauteng MEC of Economic Development on Friday, August 4th 2023 from 09:00, at Chris Hani Mall in Vosloorus, Ekurhuleni.
