SAPS: Police Trainees Intake In All Provinces: The South African Police Services seeks to recruit 10 000 interested applicans who will be trained as police officers.
The successful candidates will be based in various police stations across the country, and they will be responsible for preventing and combating crime, upholding and enforcing the law, and maintaining public order.
Home Affairs Department: Learnership Programme In All Provinces
For a period of 21 months, trainees will be participating in a basic police development learning programme which is divided in three phases.
The first phase, which is the induction phase, will run for a month, followed by a basic training phase for 8 months at a police academy, then a probation phase, where they will be appointed as police officers and receive workplace exposure after their training at a police academy.
Please Note: The basic training phase for Law graduates will be six (6)months, instead of eight (8).

Stipend: R4 500 per month for 9 Months, then R18 002.75 per month during the probation phase

SAPS: Police Trainees Intake In All Provinces – Minimum Requirements:
- Must be between the ages of 18 – 35
- Be South African residents or have permanent residency
- Have passed Grade 12 or equivalent
- Fluent in English and another official language of the Republic of South Africa
- Clear criminal record

Interested applicants will be subjected to various security verifications, including physical fitness and psychometric tests.
