Correctional Centre Visitors: 3-Year Contract – The Judicial Inspectorate For Correctional Services seeks to employ interested applicants as Independent Correctional Centre Visitors.
The successful candidates will sign a 3-year contract, and they will be responsible for conducting site visits, interviewing inmates and the Department of Correctional Services officials and capturing their complaints and requests on the database.

Salary: R6 319,75 per month (R75 837 per annum) plus 37% in lieu of benefits

Correctional Centre Visitors: 3-Year Contract – Minimum Requirements:
- Applicants must have passed Grade 12
- Computer literacy
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
SAPS: Police Trainees Intake In All Provinces
- Able to work independently
- Must be a team player and work well under pressure
- Knowledge of the Batho Pele principles
- A valid driver’s license advantageous
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Visit correctional centres to conduct interviews with inmates and officials regarding requests and complaints, and compile a report on urgent matters
- Receive and capture all complaints and mandatory matters on the database
- Attend to all enquiries

- Open and maintain case files, and follow-up on outstanding complaints.
- Compile and submit monthly reports
- Provide statistical analysis of received complaints
- Perform all work-related duties as requested by the supervisor or/and Regional Manager
