CoGTA: Voting District Vacancies- The Gauteng Department of Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs invites applicants who have passed Grade 10 to apply for CoGTA Civic Education Ambassador positions.
Applicants with Grade 12 are invited to apply for Zone Coordinator positions. They will be redponsible for developing voter registration target and managing the work output of Civic Education Ambassador.
The successful candidates will be based at the following Gauteng Region centres:
Johannesburg, Ekurhuleni, Sedibeng, West Rand and Tshwane

Job Purpose :
Civic Education Ambassadors –
The successful candidates will be responsible for registering unregistered civilians on the voters roll on a daily basis, whilst providing them with civic education and their rights as citizens of the Republic.
Zone Coordinators –
They will be responsible for developing voter registration target and managing the work output of Civic Education Ambassadors.

CoGTA: Voting District Vacancies- Minimum Requirements For Zone Coordinators & Civic Education Ambasssadors:
- Being a registered voter within the voting district where civic education will be provided will be advantageous.
- Physically fit and able to reach aspiring voters
- Must be multilingual – added advantage
- South African citizens
- Interpersonal relations and good communication skills (written and verbal)

- Emotional intelligence and ability to use a smartphone
CoGTA: Voting District Vacancies -Duties And Responsibilities:
Civic Education Ambassadors will be responsible for:
- Registering at least 10 voters on the voters roll on a daily basis
- Profiling and assessing any sabotage of infrastructure and reporting the incidents to the zone coordinator.
- Partnering with schools, taxi associations, churches, etc to provide a monthly session of civic education at the voting district
- Holding a monthly session of energy saving campaign at the voting district
Zone Coordinators will be responsible for:
- Developing a monthly civic education plan and voter registration target for each ward in the cluster.
- Managing the work of civic education ambassadors at voting district level.
- Providing the Regional Coordinator with a weekly analytical report on voter registration target.
- Developing energy saving campaign in the clusters, and a stakeholder engagement partnership plan to roll out civic voter education plan for the cluster.
- Reporting Cluster infrastracture sabotage incidents to Regional Coordinators
