Community Services: General Assistants With Grade 12 – The Thulamela Municipality Head Office invites suitably qualified candidates who are in possession of a Grade 12 certificate to apply for General Assistant possessions in various divisions within the Community Services Department. The successful candidates will be responsible for performing various duties as delegated by their supervisors.

Community Services: General Assistants With Grade 12 – Minimum Requirements:

Must be in possession of a Grade 12 certificate and at least one year experience in related field. Contactable references required.
Able to work under pressure
Good communication skills
Interpersonal relations
Park and Cemeteries General Assistants must have knowledge of plants and horticulture techniques.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Park And Cemeteries General Assistant:

Maintain all municipal facilities
Establish and maintain new gardens
Develop hard or dry gardens

Environmental And Waste Management General Assistants:

Remove refusal from households and clean municipal building and recreational facilities.
Empty public dustbins
Remove building rubbles from public places

Technical Services General Assistants:

Assist artisan, operators and team to execute work
Perform general duties as and when requested
