Tsebo – Cleaning & Hygiene Learnership – Tsebo invites individuals who have an interest in the cleaning and hygiene industry to apply for a 12-month cleaning and hygiene learnership programme.
During the programme, learners will gain hands-on experience while acquiring relevant knowledge and skills related to maintaining cleanliness and promoting hygiene in various settings, how to use personal protective equipment and adhering to ethical standards in the cleaning industry.
Foundation Phase: Educator Assistants 2024
Upon the successful completion of the programme, learners will understand the importance of cleanliness and hygiene and its impact on health and safety.
They will obtain a recognized certification/qualification in cleaning and hygiene which they can use to pursue various job opportunities such as a hygiene officer, cleaning technician, or start their own cleaning business.

Tsebo – Cleaning & Hygiene Learnership – Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of Grade 11
- Good communication skils
- Demonstrate an interest in the cleaning and hygiene industry
- Good communication skills
- Must be unemployed
- Committed to complete the programme
- Physically fit, focused and energetic
Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify and action cleaning and hygiene opportunities, in addition to set tasks.
- Comply cleaning tasks on the set up specific time frame
Tiger Brands 12-Month Learnership Programme – 2024
- Day to day clean up in offices/wards, public areas
- Dust of tables and shelves
- Polish or wax floors as they maybe wooden
- Organise and place items to their rightful position/place
- Empty out bins, wash and use a new refuse bag the bin
- Sanitize Door handles and stainless steel shelves from germs
- Relay to wearing safety gear when handling dangerous chemicals
- Have knowledge of which chemicals to use for cleaning and how to operate daily used equipment
